Description

the body of compressed globular form raised on three taotie-mask feet, carved around the exterior with the Ba Gua between bands of raised bosses, covered overall with an even olive-green glaze save for the interior carved in the biscuit with a leafy floral medallion, the base with an unglazed ring burnt orange in the firing

Condition

The censer is in good overall condition with the exception of a small glaze-pull to the rim, a small misfired blister to the rim, minor glaze firing imperfections to the interior including iron-spots, glaze pulls and burst glaze bubbles, glaze scartches (predominantly to the rim), and light flaking around the concave unfired base.
