Description
the cover carved in high relief with two scholars and two children in a fenced garden beside a retreat in a mountainous river landscape, the fore, mid and background with different diaper patterned grounds, above the sides with shaped panels of prunus, peony and chrysanthemum, the interior and base lacquered black
Condition
The box and cover are in overall very good condition with the exception of small chip (ca. 1.4cm) to the frames of one of the panels on the side of the cover and a small chip (ca. 0.7cm) to the footrim of the base.
