the domed cover finely and deeply carved with a medallion enclosing a shou character encircled by the wu fu on a dense wave ground, the curved sides with floral and fruit medallions reserved on a dense floret-diaper ground, the interior and base lacquered black
Condition
A V-shaped crack to the body of the base (ca. 3x2.5cm), adjoining roundel restored. A crescent-shaped piece (ca. 14cm long) broken out of the rim of the cover and restored. Both base and cover with some areas of retouching.
