finely and deeply carved to the top of the cover with a river landscape scene, depicting a boating party in the foreground and jagged rocks and pine trees amidst swirling midst in the distance, all within a keyfret band, the straight sides with dense floret diaper bands, the interior and base lacquered black

Condition

The box is of overall good condition with the exception of a small area of restoration (ca. 3cm diam.) around the sun/moon of the cover.
