each box and cover with straight sides, the one of pomegranate shape and carved to the top with a large pair of fruiting pomegranate and flowering prunus with green leaves, all reserved on a diaper ground, the other of peach shape and carved to the top with nine fruiting peaches borne on a bough with green leaves and all reserved on a diaper ground

Box with Peaches: the box is in overall good condition with the exception of small areas of loss and some minor nibbles to the raised parts of the design on the cover. Some restoration to flange at one end of the base. Box with Pomegranates: the box is in overall good condition with the exception of a crack running through the inside of the lid (ca. 10cm.) and some restoration to the rim of the base. There are minor areas of retouching to the base.
