the censer with rounded sides rising to an everted rim carved in low-relief with confronting dragons and a pair of addorsed high-relief bats perched on the edge, each securing a loose ring handle, all supported on four archaistic animal-mask feet, fitted with a domed cover carved with archaistic taotie masks and scrolls, the hollow spherical knop further carved with dragons and loose rings, all resting on a waisted lotus petal stand, the flat circular top centred with a lotus flower, above pendant loose rings, the high-polished stone of lavender tone with pale green and golden yellow inclusions
