the mottled apple-green stone carved in the form of an elongated archaistic wine vase, decorated with upright plantain leaves around the neck and foot, and an animal mask around the slightly protruding belly, all below a sloping mouth and loose ring on one side and a clambering chilong handle on the other, the cover carved with an archaistic scroll finial

Condition

One corner of the foot has been ground down. There is a fissure which has come through to the surface on the side of the piece with the qilong. There are a few minor chips and nicks the piece. The overall condition of this piece is good. The color of the piece is not as white as shown in the illustration; the color is actually more yellow.
