of hexagonal form, carved on the two main sides with a stylised archaistic taotie mask flanked by deconstructed animal masks, set between pendant and upright plantain leaves collaring the neck and the foot, the shoulders further set with a pair of foliate leaf handles, the stepped cover of conforming shape,  the stone of mottled bright green and white with golden veins and peppered with black inclusions
