well carved of oval form with two confronting birds, their curling inverted bodies conforming to the shape of the stone with their heads in the centre, their beaks clutching a sprig of lingzhi in one and a stalk of millet in the other, all resting on a large furled lotus pad visible on the reverse, the stone of creamy white tone with a few minor pale grey inclusions
