AN UNUSUAL BLUE AND WHITE CUP MARK AND PERIOD OF KANGXI

finely potted with steep flared sides and everted rim, painted around the exterior above the base with a band of trefoil-shaped sprigs formed from interlinked stems, all above a single line border encircling the top of the foot, the base inscribed in underglaze-blue with a six-character mark within a double-circle

The cup is in very good condition. There are a few characteristic scattered pinpricks on the exterior. There is a small glaze gap on the interior right below the rim. The blue is slightly softer than the catalogue illustration.
