A RARE BEIJING ENAMEL CENSER MARK AND PERIOD OF QIANLONG

the deep rounded sides supported on three cylindrical legs, flanked at the sides by a pair of upright handles, brightly decorated on each side in soft, pastel enamels with a taotie mask, divided in the centre and on the sides with gilt scrolling flanges, all between a band of spirals and a classic scroll at the rim, the base impressed with the six-character mark 

The piece is slightly warped, as visible in the catalogue. There is expected rubbing to the gilding and surface scratches. There are small losses to the enamel, and small flakes to the lower border which have been retouched slightly. There are small dents on the base.
