of square section with notched corners, brightly enameled on one side with flowers and butterflies, another sides with a scholar and an attendant in a landscape, a third side with orchids and butterflies and the last side with a fisherman

Formerly in a Japanese Collection.

Condition

There are some minor chips to the enamelling near the corners that has not been filled. The gilding on the cloisons and the in the gilded areas remain in quite good condition, with only some light tarnishing and wear.
