well carved in the form of a large furled lotus leaf borne on an openwork tied bouquet of lotus buds and stem visible on the underside, with two chilong, one clambering on the pad and the other on the stem, further set with a crab sitting in the middle of the leaf, the subtle details of the bug-eaten holes and movable pod seeds rendered with realism, the material of fine-grained dark colour

Condition
Apart from a minor crack to a leaf on the underside, the overall condition is very good.
