the pear-shaped body carved with lobes rising half way from the base, narrowing to a cylindrical neck flanked by a pair of tubular lug handles, covered overall with an opaque greyish-blue glaze suffused with a fine network of white crackles, the footrim dressed in a brown slip imitating Song 'Guan' ware, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue, stand

Formerly in a Japanese Collection.

Condition

There is a 1cm glaze pull on the rim with a slightly thicker concentration of glaze pooling around the pull. The rim also has a 3 cm hairline crack extending down near the glaze pull. There are 4 air bubbles around the foot. However the overall condition is still quite good.
