Description
of flattened circular form, the cover decorated in 'anhua' with a pair of confronting archaistic dragons with long scrolling bodies, the box similarly decorated with a continuous scrolling floral meander, covered overall in a burnt umber glaze stopping neatly just above the footring, the interiors left white, the base with the six-character mark within a double-circle
Condition
There is a 0.5cm chip to the foot and a small chip as well as some very minor nicks to the interior of the foot. The box was possibly gilded before though no traces remain. The actual color of the piece is less red and more brown than shown in the catalogue. The overall condition is good.
