the slender staff with a circular knop fitted to the shaft with a silver cuff and tapering to a silver point, carved near the top with a continuous scene of prunus, bamboo and rocks reserved on a square diaper ground, above the longest section carved with a dense 'wan' diaper ground

Formerly in a Japanese Collection.
Condition
The top has been relacquered. The are small losses to the carving, some of which have been repainted. Overall the piece is in good condition.
