Description
the oval shaped head well carved with Shoulao accompanied by his deer and attendant enclosed within pine and rock borders, the underside carved with bats and clouds, the arched shaft deeply carved with a pair of birds with long plummage reserved on a dense ground of flowers, leaves and peaches, the center of the shaft pierced with a single hole tied to a long cord

Formerly in a Japanese Collection.
Condition
There are two old chips to the foot of the shaft and a few minor chips to the edge of the head. The head has been restuck and is slightly off-centred, however the overall condition is still quite good.
