Description
each well potted with shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, painted around the sides with four large stylised lotus blooms borne on leafy scrolls amid smaller blooms, all against a deep ruby-red ground, the interior and base glazed white, inscribed on the base with the four-character hall mark in underglaze-blue within a double-circle
Condition
On one bowl, there is a tiny firing crack to the rim of the foot. On the other bowl there is a dirty pinhole on the rim of the bowl that has stained about 3.5cm of the rim (but most likely can be professionally cleaned). The enamelling on both bowls is intact and the overall condition to both is very good.
