Description
well potted with deep rounded sides springing from a short straight foot, painted around the sides in bright doucai enamels with eight large lotus blooms borne on leafy scrolls, each bloom enclosing a stylised shou character medallion in iron-red, black, lime-green and underglaze-blue, below four wan symbols alternating with four of the bajixiang at the rim, with a band of ruyi heads at the foot, the base inscribed with the six-character mark within a double-circle
Condition
The bowl is in very good condition. There is characteristic crackling to the light green enamel.
