Description

the rounded sides resting on a short foot and rising to an everted rim, well painted in 'famille-rose' enamels with a small grassy patch issuing long slender stems of blooming peony, rose and aster interpersed with tight and opening buds, the flowers coloured in shaded tones of pink, yellow and blue, and the leaves rendered in tones of light and dark green, with a small fly hovering above at the rim, and two butterflies fluttering on the other side, the interior with two small lotus sprays each with a leaf fallen astray by its side, the base inscribed with the six-character mark within a double-circle

Condition

There are a couple shallow nicks to the foot. There are a couple short firing lines under the glaze on the interior. There is a tiny nick to the rim which has been cleverly painted over with a bug. There are small burst air bubbles on the leaves to the interior. The colours are close to the catalogue illustration, and closely match to lot 2901.
