Description

  • 2ft 10¾in., 2ft 11¼in., 1ft 5¾in.
painted and gessoed wood, the wood slabs above bifurcated stems of scrolling fronds, on square plinths

Condition

A stylish pair in good overall condition. Old marks and scratches overall. Wood with some cracks and chips, such as to just above the base and in the forward sweep of the fronds. Paint finish intentionally distressed. Bases stand on black painted wood blocks not illustrated in catalogue. Tops black painted wood, which have been repainted and which have extensive wear, marks and scratches. Wood plugs in tops covering screwheads either missing, damaged or no longer invisible.
