Condition

An elegant bronze and ivory figure of good overall appearance. Some usual tarnishing to bronze and minor scratches to ivory in places. Minor crack running from the left corner of her nose down her neck. The head band with some wear to finish. Base with minor nicks. A decorative piece ready for display. Please note that this lot contains ivory which may be subject to export and import restrictions. For example, ivory cannot be imported into the United States. Your attention is drawn to the Endangered Species section in the Guide for Prospective Buyers at the back of the catalogue (Section 4).

Catalogue Note

Preiss found his inspiriation in fashion, sports photographs or in the performances of dancers such as Niddy Impekoven. Her dance 'The Captive Bird' inspired Preiss to create 'Bat Girl'.
