Description

  • A rare PH 5/3 standard lamp
  • stamped to the underside of the socket 'PAT. APPL.'

  • 120cm. (min.) to 180cm. (max.) high, top shade 50cm. diam.;
  • 3ft 11¼in., 5ft 11in., 1ft 7¾in.
manufactured by Louis Poulsen, opal glass, patinated and painted metal, the large copper top shade painted in cream above two glass shades, supported by a height-adjustable stem, above circular metal base on six ball feet

Condition

A very rare standard lamp of good overall appearance. There are some minor old marks and scratches overall, including to the painted feet. The upper metal shade with nicks and scratches to the paint in places, in particular to the rim, consistent with age and material. Piece not tested or guaranteed for electricity. An elegant piece ready for display.
