Catalogue Note

Sigvard Bernadotte, formerly Duke of Uppland and later Count of Wisborg, was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden. He lost his titles and his rights to the Swedish line of succession upon his marriage in 1934, but Bernadotte went on to enjoy a highly successful career as a designer for Georg Jensen, creating some of their most iconic mid-century designs.
