Condition

A striking piece. The colour is less red than it appears in the catalogue illustration. Old marks and scratches overall, and some rubbing to edges. A number of cracks, particularly to reverse. Several old restorations, such as to the base of the left panel and top left corner of the right panel as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. Finish with wear in places. Would benefit from conservation. Elegant and unusual.
