Description

  • A chandelier
  • 115cm. high (approx.);
  • 3ft 9¼in.
gilt bronze and cast copper, the foliate stem terminating in four branches each supporting an aquilegia blossom sconce with four glass petal shades, a fifth shade suspended to the centre, with four further floral buds with glass insets

Condition

An impressive piece. Frame possible with some minor repairs. Frame has evidence of regilding and traces of gilt paint to sconces. One stylised leaf just below ceiling fixture is detached but present. Central stem is missing screw fixing and has been illustrated hanging approximately 10cm than intended. Petal shades in overall very good condition and are possibly not original. Not tested or guaranteed for electricity. The piece is 76cm., 30in. wide and approximately 94cm., 37in. high.
