  • 1ft 3¼in.
gilt bronze, ivory and onyx, modelled as a young girl dressed in a flowing gown and standing on one leg whilst playing a flute, raised on two-colour geometric base

Condition

An unusual model. Patina is more golden and less brown than the catalogue illustration suggests. Minor old marks, scratches and wear to patina and typical blemishing and oxidisation. Hands in good condition. Ivory in good condition overall. Very minor crack to reverse of her right foot. Couple of minor chips to onyx base. A 0.5cm. area of filler to front edge of base. A playful model of good overall condition. Please note that this lot contains ivory and so its movements may be restricted under International CITES law. Please be advised it cannot be exported to the United States. All other prospective purchasers outside of the EU are advised to check their local Endangered Species laws with their shippers.
