Condition

Marks on the cover have been largely lost when the cover was cut to fit the finial, a few minor dents and scratches commensurate with age, foot very slightly pressed into body, but generall condition reasonably good, nice substantial piece. The cover with traces of marks, the cover and finial also with Paris discharge marks for 8 march 1786 and 1798-1809 control marks Restes de poinçons sur le couvercle, le couvercle et la prise insculpés du poinçon de décharge du 8 mars 1786 et des poinçons de contrôle 1798-1809
