Condition
Bon état général. Une petite bosse sur le corps, deux légères d usures sur deux motifs de fleurs. La partie dévissable percée en son fond.
Objet très atypique, d'une excellente qualité de gravure et ciselure. Le bec verseur souligné de larges godrons.
Elle peut aussi être rapprochée de la chocolatière de la veuve Waustrud, Valenciennes, vers 1745, illustrée dans Jacques Helft, le Poinçon des Provinces françaises, 1985, pl. XLI.

Les armes sont celles des comtes d'Oultremont, de Liège, titrés en 1731.
Cette chocolatière possède une particularité a priori unique: ses trois pieds sont fixés sur un motif de rosace feuillagée qui se dévisse. Il est difficile de comprendre l'utilité d'un tel détail, si ce n'est, peut-être, pour ranger cette pièce dans un coffre à nécessaire.
