Catalogue Note
En 1892, Wolfers réalisa une paire de centres de table en argent sur le même thème que ces compotiers, intitulés L'Eté et L' Hiver, Le Printemps et l'Automne. Ils furent exécutés pour la Comtesse de Flandre, dessinés par Philippe Wolfers et sculptés par Isidore de Rudder (1855-1944). Louis Wolfers Père et Fils fut une enseigne luxueuse sise au coin de la rue de Loxum et de la rue de la Montaigne, ouverte en 1890.
