Condition
Generally good condition. There are faint surface cracks to the enamel panels on the sides and back. The blue enamel at the front has been restored. Very minor losses to opalescent beads, much less than would be expected. The borders could use a thorough cleaning.

P. N. Menière, son of the gold maker Nicolas Menière, entered his mark in 1775. He was Marchand Joaillier Bijoutier de Roi et de la Marine and a supplier to the Menus-Plaisirs, and also served on the committee of experts appointed to inventory the Crown Jewels after the Revolution.
