Condition

Original canvas. There are scattered small spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to an area to the lower centre. Apart from a crescent-shaped repaired tear (approx. 5.5cm.) to the area beneath the figure's arched arm, corresponding to the repair on the reverse, this work is in very good condition, with rich colours and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a simple, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame decorated with rosettes.
