Condition
Original canvas. The canvas is undulating slightly on the stretchers, and there are pinholes running along the left edge of the canvas, as well as one hole on the centre of the upper edge. There are scattered flecks of paint and surface dirt, mainly to the lower half of the canvas, but ultraviolet light reveals no readily visible retouching. Held in a highly decorative carved wood and moulded plaster frame, painted gold.
