Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the background and two x-shaped repairs to the bonnet of the figure and to her left. Apart from scattered small spots of retouching visible to the background, this work is in good condition, with bright colours and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
