Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are a few scattered minor spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the centre of the upper edge and a minor spot to the upper right background, partially obscured under a varnish. Apart from some very fine craquelure notably to the darker areas of pigment, this work is in good condition and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with incised motifs and a name plate.
