Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are some spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to what appears to be a repair or old join running horizontally along the upper quarter of the composition, and a spot to the figure's apron. This work is in very good condition overall, with rich tones and strong impasto. Held in a narrow, decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
