Condition

The canvas has been strip-lined. There are a few scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably along the extreme left edge, to the lower right corner, and to a repair (corresponding to a patch on the reverse) to the upper left. Apart from the repair, some light scattered craquelure and some irregularity to the extreme edges of the canvas, this work is in good condition, with warm, rich tones and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with a name plate.
