Condition
Original canvas. There is some scattered retouching, to the hem of the woman's dress, the step and the nearby basket, visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from some light wear notably to the corners of the work, and some small spots of fine craquelure, the work is in very good overall condition and ready to hang. Held in a wide, decorative, bronze-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
