Condition
The canvas has been relined. Apart from one small fleck of retouching to the male figure's chin, there are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. Other than two pinhead-sized flecks of paint loss to the lower right corner, the work is in very good overall condition, with fresh colours and ready to hang. Held in a burnished gold-painted, decorative moulded plaster and wood frame.

The National Association of Artists, Piazza Pitti 14, Florence, was run by Prof. C. Hautmann and Dr. U. Gianesi. It was in existence until at least 1930, and artists represented included Zampighi, Chierici, Torriglia, Reggianini and Magni.
