Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered areas of retouching overall visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the white areas of the sky, and two spots of repair with corresponding patches on the reverse to the centre of the left side and to the right of centre. Apart from some faint scattered craquelure the work is in good condition and ready to hang, with strong detail and a varied palette. Held in a simple, wide wood frame.
