Condition

Original canvas. There is only light infilling to some paint shrinkage to the darker areas of the figure's hair visible through an uneven varnish under ultraviolet light. Apart from some spots of scattered craquelure, notably to the hair of the figure, some fine craquelure on the shadows of her face and the darkest area of her robe, and some very light frame abrasion to the right and left edges, the work is in good overall condition. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
