Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching notably to the upper right and upper left areas of the water, visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from some scattered spots of craquelure, visible stretcher marks to the right and left sides, and some slight paint loss to an area in the centre left, the work is in good overall condition. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
