Description

  • 94cm. and 105cm. high.
the first with cartouche Roman numerals and bearing the signature Thuret A Paris, rack gong striking movement with brocot escapement, red turtleshell boulle inlaid case with gilt brass foliate mounts, glazed sides and front with a chariot mount; the other with blue cartouche Roman numerals bearing the signature Gilles Martinot A Paris, countwheel bell striking anchor movement lacking bell hammer, brown turtleshell boulle inlaid case with arched top and angled sides, without brackets

Condition

red turtleshell clock, dial and hands in good conditon, movement with Vincenti mark 1855 able to function and in working order when inspected, bell hammer repaired, case in good condition, a few small pieces of the boulle work lacking and inside of door starting to let loose but minor, gilding recently cleaned and looking fine, together with a pendulum (no winder and no key) brown turtleshell clock, dial and hands slightly tarnished but in good condition, movement complete but the spring of the going train broken, striking work functioning but the hammer lacking, case a little dirty but the boulle work fine, gilding a little rubbed, together with a pendulum and doorkey, no inder
