Condition

In overall reasonably good condition consistent with age. There is some surface dirt and minor wear to the polychromy and gilding. There is some wear to the raised parts of the carving and there are small losses, especially to the rims of the relief and the extremities of the figures. There are overall some minor restorations. The the legs of the four souls have been restored. There are larger restored breaks through the lower section of the relief, the reverse shows a larger related chip. The lower left corner of the relief has been restored. The reverse is fitted with a metal hook for hanging, there are a few drillholes from earlier attachment.
