Condition

The cross: In overall reasonably good condition with some minor losses to the carvings, especially to the terminates. Some smaller and one larger dryness crack (to right cross arm, as visible in the catalogue photo). Both cross arms with hole for attachment of original Corpus (left hole visible in the catalogue photo). The cross arms shortened. Minor traces of old woodworming. The Corpus: In overall reasonably good, slightly dryed out condition with some related (dryness) cracks. Traces of old woodworming. Minor losses to the carvings, especially to hair, fingers, feet, loincloth. The face probably recarved. The arms carved separately, reattached and related small losses to the wood. Few minor restorations. One larger restoration to lower back. Some larger restored dryness cracks to the upper body. An attractive piece.
