- Corpus Christi: 17cm. high.; processional crosses: 62 and 75cm. high.
together with an Italian brass processional cross on wooden holder, late Gothic, 15th century, a South Netherlandish oak processional cross holder with iron band, late Gothic, 16th century, and a brass processional cross on wooden holder, 18th century
Provenance
Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis, Mechelen (Corpus Christi).
Condition
Corpus Christi: In overall good condition. Minor dents, marks and scratches. Some wear resulting in loss of detail. One small area of abrasion to the left ancle.
Italian processional cross: In overall good condition with some minor dents, marks and scratches. Some wear resulting in loss of detail to the Corpus. Old reinforcement to centre of cross. Old repair to reverse of lower part. The wooden holder with minor paintlosses and minor traces of old woodworming.
South Netherlandish cross holder: Old woodworming, especially to the lower part. Large vertical dryness splat through the holder, related small losses.
18th century processional cross: In overall good condition with some minor dents, marks and scratches. Some wear resulting in loss of detail to the (probably associated) Corpus. Nail to proper left foot missing. Minor warping to the beams. Old solder repair to foot of cross.
