Description

  • 49cm. high.
13-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Lépine H.er DU ROY Place De Louis X 4, blued fleur-de-lys hands and striking regulation lever outside X, similarly signed No. 4216 countwheel lacking bell striking anchor movement fitted in rosé gilt drum case, surmounted by a finely cast and chiseled seated bacchante drinking from a cup and vines and a drape below, supported by two winged putti seated on goats, moulded white marble break front base with pierced ormolu mounts raised on engraved toupee feet

Condition

dial in good condition, dial feet broken and now fixed with screws but very well done, small chip outside 40 but under the bezel, minute hand replaced, movement in good condition and in working order, bell lacking, anchor restored in the 19th century and pendulum now with steel suspension (well done), case of very good quality bronze in good conditon, gilding intact and marble also in good condition, together with a pendulum and winder
