Description

  • 167cm. high, 132cm. wide, 50cm. deep.
with two frieze drawers above two doors enclosing a fitted interior with ten drawers and two small doors revealing an architectural compartment set with mirrors and twelve further drawers, sides and interiors overall profusely inlaid with very fine flower vase, lambrequin, flower and foliate marquetry, gilt-bronze escutcheons, the later ebonised wooden stand, probably Victorian, second half 19th century

Condition

In overall good condition, some dryness cracks and restorations to the veneer, some loose veneer, left door with vertical shrinkage crack to inner and outer surface, drawers with minor restorations, some with replaced bottom, drawer knobs/handles replaced, interior mirrors with minor wear, lock plates of the two large doors associated, minor wear to the ebonised wood.
