This painting depicts the scene from Chapter 17 of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in which Aslan leads his victorious army along the coast to the castle of Cair Paravel. It is in this castle that Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, will reign as Kings and Queens of Narnia.
Jonathan Barry is an Irish artist and illustrator who specializes in painting famous scenes from literature.
