Dutton, 1926, first American edition, illustrated title-page, original cloth-backed purple boards, paper labels on spine and upper cover, [Brown 3], lacking front free endpaper, section from dust-jacket upper flap laid-down to front fixed endpaper, binding soiled and worn at extremities; Out of the Silent Planet. John Lane, 1938, first edition, 2 leaves of publisher's advertisements at end, original maroon cloth lettered in gilt, [Brown 12], joints splitting, binding worn, bookplate on front fixed endpaper; The Screwtape Letters. Geoffrey Bles, 1942, first edition, author's signature laid-down to title-page, original black cloth, paper label on spine, [Brown 18], lower joint splitting, binding worn; Perelandra. John Lane, 1943, first edition, original light blue cloth lettered in gilt, [Brown 25], binding worn and soiled, spine faded; That Hideous Strength.
